Five Items to Consider
You can change your email at MyHome, Edit Profile. After you change your email address, click "Submit Modifications" at the bottom of the screen. Changing your email will not affect your RunRyder member account.
Yes. To send an email to another member, locate the EMAIL link in their member profile or in any posts they've made. This will open a page that contains a form where you can enter your message. When you have finished typing your message, click the "Send Email" button and your message will be sent instantly. For privacy reasons, the email address of the recipient is not revealed to you during the process. Note, if you cannot find an email button or link for a member, it means that the member has specified that they do not wish to receive email from RR members. Registered members are also able to send messages to other members of this forum using the private messaging system. For more information about private messaging see: HELP-FAQ - Private Messaging.

The email blocking mechanism was put in place to prevent spammers from emailing RunRyder members with solicitations. The amount of emails you are allowed to send within a 24 hour period is based on a sliding scale. Newer members have a lower email sending limit than older members. If you get blocked from sending emails, the waiting period is 24 hours. If you email again in less than 24 hours from the time you were originally blocked, you will have to wait an additional 24 hours to send RR members emails.

Yes. At the bottom of the email, your personal email is given to the recipient. Below the message you write, every email sent via RunRyder displays the following: Example: Message sent by RunRyder forum member iluvflyn: mailto: iluvflyn@hotmail.com or reply using this online form: http://runryder.com/member.htm?do=mailform&userid=67160 Or reply via PM so e-mail address is not revealed: http://runryder.com/pm.htm?do=newpm&userid=67160 http://runryder.com takes no responsibility for messages sent through its forum mail system.

Email notifications are sent to members to notify them of new Private Messages (PMs) and/or new Subscriptions. RunRyder emails will arrive in your inbox from “RunRyder Notification System” (apache@runryder.com). RunRyder does not send spam or unsolicited emails. You can adjust your own email notification settings at myHome – Edit Options. There are Five Items to Consider to manage your RR email notifications. RunRyder does not sell or give out members' email addresses ever.
Email notifications are sent to all members who utilize subscriptions and/or the private messaging system on the site. RR emails notify members of new subscriptions and/or new private messages. By default, email notifications for new personal messages and new subscription activity are sent five minutes since your last activity on the site. You can change the frequency of email notifications by going to myHome - Edit Options (Messaging, Subscriptions & Notification) and changing the waiting period for PM Notification and Post Notification. The longer the waiting period, the less frequent an email notification will be sent. To prevent yourself from receiving notifications about new posts in a topic you created or post replied to, uncheck the box next to Subscribe To This Topic under the Options category before you "Submit New Topic" or "Submit Post Reply".
There is not an option to never receive email notifications from RR if you receive personal messages or are subscribed to a topic. The longest waiting period between when an email notification of new activity is sent to you and the last time you were active on the site is one month. You can choose to not use the pm system and subscription function on RunRyder by going to myHome - Edit Options (Messaging, Subscriptions & Notification) and setting- Enable Private Messaging? and Have "Subscribe To This Topic" checked by default when posting?- to no. Also under myHome - Subscriptions choose to Unsubscribe From All Topics. If you do all of this, email notifications will not be sent to you.
RunRyder members are automatically subscribed to topics they create and post reply to. To make sure you are notified via email of new posts under a topic you create or post reply to, make sure that the box next to Subscribe To This Topic (in the Options category) is checked before you "Submit Reply" or "Submit New Topic". If you accidentally uncheck the box, you can subscribe to the topic you are involved/interested in by clicking the "Subscribe to This Topic" link at the bottom of the topic’s page. Email notifications will be sent regarding this topic once you are subscribed to it. You can adjust the frequency you receive subscription email notifications under myHome - Edit Options (Messaging, Subscriptions & Notification).
