Will the GV-1 maintain set RPM under hard 3D flying? I have seen a heli with a GV-1 fly and it was very, very smooth. However, the person was not into 3D.

Can anyone elaborate? Also, does the GV-1 prevent the throttle servo from overdriving?

The GV1 is working fine for me and my flying buddy
We both have the Fury's I run YS 61 and he run OS 91

Yes, if the pitch curves don't exceed the engines ability to pull that pitch AND if the pilot doesn't over control the cyclic and collective (full cyclic and full pitch at the same time).

Yes. If the GV-1 is properly set up, it does have travel limits which must be easily set.

My 3D machine doesn't have a GV-1, doesn't need it. I do traveling tumbles, stationary rolls, flips, etc.

Well, I have a 9C and Cyclic to Throttle mixing is not available w/o overdriving the servo. So, in my situation I will greatly benefit from a GV-1.

There are several ways of preventing
overdriving the servo w/o the use of a GV1.

A GV1 is a nice thing to have but is NOT
a requirement.
