Hope this upgrade comes in shortly Jeff.

Flyboy, I tested a GYA352 dual axis (pan-tilt) just infront the KS2 and my cameraman told me both devices in conjoint made a good job. You should expect to achieve the same accuracy on the tild you noticed on the pan. The problem is you can not use it with the camera turned backwards because the gyro will give wrong corrections but for video you will rarely use the 360ºpan feature if your skids appear in the image.

First upgrade: get camera so I don't have to borrow friend's gear.

This thing is teeny tiny...

Jeff

Don't break it!!

Jeff,
That is just a tad smaller than mine. My video camera that is...

Just don't break it...I had the worst luck with Panasonic on repairs. There customer service was not too swift last time I had one of their products.

I can't believe the quality of that video! That was really good filming. Would it be possible for you to post some pictures of your setup?

This is my rig.....however substitute a Pansonic PVGS70 for the Canon.

I'll post a couple more vids from this weekend as soon as I render.

Jeff

Who just dropped a sack of potatos?

Think that getting your 30 to auto is difficult?

Strap a camera to it an see what that does.

This was an mpeg shot off the "littlebird" the Kyosho/Caliber camcopter30

I liked this short clip of foward flight towards the tree with the car approaching from underneath:

Moving action is key :-)

here is my first aerial video...

I'm not into aerial video and I haven't learned to edit it yet, but today I switched on the mpeg movie mode and recorded an ascent to see what I'd get.

I used my still camera. It has basically 3 movie settings, two are too big for the web (I think, haven't tested) and one is puny.

so here's the puny....

first aerial video

BTW it's windy as heck.

killer....

nice river sequence...

what are your thoughts on foward flight under a smaller bridge, (again...smaller bridge), so when you come up past the arc there will be a ~1 second with the heli out of site? interesting pov shot, but consquences...
basically i'm kicking around angles that a full scale or crane would consider impossible...
cheers,
jeff

wow...

Are you not able to stand under the bridge?

I've threaded up between trees/brush and back but the heli is always in sight. That's freaky enough WITHOUT loosing sight.

Otherwise I'd rather fly at it from each side and edit it together. More work just as good anyway.

maybe you can fly at it one way, turn your mount around, fly at the other side of the bridge, edit the second video to run backward, and add it to the end of the first video.

WOW, that sounds like a lot more work than just flying under.
