Checking if there is a problem with the 401 & the 9253 combo from people who if any had technical problem w/it,based on my experienced I stripped the 9253 servo and I heard that also some pilots went to the same thing as I did (stripping the servo). Its like maybe there are some good & bad ones out there. The heli that I use to mount it on was locking the tail in normal & HH mode so good that it felt like I am untouchable....but after 20+flights it went south. I was crushed knowing that I was flying good atleast for that one last time w/my tweetie bird. Any advice will greatly appriciate in advance.

Thanks/John

So you think it stripped in flight, causing you to crash?

401 & 9253 combo

JasonF;

Yes it stripped while I was flying FF, pirro-rolls,I assume its the amount of torque that the 9253 has... is not enough w/all the physical demands of the G's I was puling,the tail blades that I am using is the NHP 105 and its rear mounted set up(servo).

Thanks/John

Torque has nothing to do with gears stripping. The servo could theoretically stall out on you due to not enough torque but this would not cause the gears to strip. I don't know what caused your crash, but I would guess it was probably something else that let go in your tail and then the gears stripped on impact.

Same thing happend to me but it wasnt stripped gears.Any time you have a crash you can almost guarantee that that 9253 will strip. I would check the tourque tube/drivebelt/tail gear pin area first.

401 & 9253

The way it went out is while I was going to execute the piro-rolls I started w/a FFF & started to see the tail wagging from L-R in a short intermitent sequence for just about 2 sec. w/o any rudder input from my sticks. Well the wagging wasn't there after that 2 sec. glitch so I took a chance and did the piro-rolls while I was going to the rolls I tried to stop the piro...the rudder wouldn't respond to my inputs and thats when the un-thinkable happend(it piroated itself to death). I assume then it was a tail glitching not a stripped servo cause I find it reasonable that you guys are right about stripping the servo on impact cause it crashed tail in first assuming that it was rear mounted servo but then again its a mystery to me who knows. Anyways thanks to both of you JasonF & Avropilot for the information that you both mentioned cause I never thought it that way about servo's stripping on impact. My learning curve has increased thanks to you guys.
