Hello, your going to get a LOT of differing info on this subject which is ok, you will have to read it and decide what you want to do. Firstly, you must determine what kind of cells you are going to run ie: NIMH or NICADS. I run only nicads personally because they wont just die at the first sign of overdrain.Even with a bad cell they still work safely enough to land, the nimh wont do you that favor. Also, they will take overcharging abuse that nimh wont tolerate and they will keep working tho slower at the bottom of the pack verses just dying. You also dont need specialized equipment to charge nicads, you will need specific equipment to cycle and charge the nimhs. I have a Ace Digapace cycler to monitor my packs just to see if they are still holding full capacity that is a must when fast charging cells a lot. This way keeps my helis fully charged all day long. The standard charger that came with my radio is used to charge only the TX as I dont want to fast charge it. I use a Hobbico fast field charger 750ma output to charge my helis between flights, takes only 5-10min tops, and that way I always have a safe charge on my helis. With this setup you are covered all around especially when using digital servos as I am using. Hope ive helped. Dave

Look at this review of the Supernova, posted on The R/C Battery Clinic. That will give you a good idea of what a good charger / cycler can do for you.

BTW, the web site has tons of info if you're interested in batteries.

Hope this helps,

Liked it so much I bought two................

I use the Super Turbo Charger. This charger ,Fast charges and has variable trickle charge rates which can all be set up in 10 Battery Files. One is actually an automatic function. This is also a cycler and will charge and discharge Nicads and NMH. The turbo works great and in our area has replaced the supernova because it is cheaper and has variable trickle charge rates. Also it will handle one to twenty-eight cells. It might be twenty-six but it is one more than super nova.Good Luck with your decission. Super Turbo is put out by Dymond and sells for around $110.
