I did my first 360 (i think they are called pirouettes) today. What a rush. I had it up around 50 feet and slammed the rudder to the right and it spun around in less than a second. Pretty easy stuff. After doing the 360, the heli was pitching forward and to the right a whole lot. I had to land because I could barely control it. What would cause it to do this? I checked the paddles and the head and everything seems ok. Its really wierd. I currently have the head taken apart b\c im adding a few metal upgrades. Should there be anything in particular to look at before putting it back together?

Any help would be great...

Thanks,

Jesse

The increase in TR thrust also tries to roll the machine because the TR thrust line is below the center of lift, (it also dosn't take much to get "out of shape" I don't think anything is wrong just burn more fuel.

I agree with Doug, I think you were just experiencing some centrifugal(sp?) force of the spin. Try it some more and let us know if it still keeps happening. Try to do a slower one and see if it still does it (1/2 sec for a 360)

Thanks for the input.

It might be a while before i can fly again. Finals are next week and any spare time i have im at work. Anyhow, i got the purple head button. im having trouble getting the bearings out of the old one. i heard one guy had to bake his at over 400 degrees before they would come out. i dont wanna bake it, but i have a feeling i might have to. after i get i back together and in the air ill try a slower 360 and see if it still does it.

thanks again for the input

I first tried boiling the peice, that didnt work. Then baked them at 450 for 15 minutes, still no luck. Finally, i broke out my dremel and cut the peice right down to the bearing race and the bearings fell out. Good thing i had the purple one to replace it with.
