You cannot mix and match Futaba and JR (or Airtronics for that matter). You can mix Futaba and Hitec. Hitec also makes a Rx specifically for JR or Futaba. IIRC you need to install a furnished jumper wire on the Rx. That is a special application. The majority of Hitec Rx's are not like that and they will only be compatible with Futaba or their native Hitec Tx's.
If you buy a Hitec Eclipse Tx then you can use any Rx you want. In the programming menu there's an option to allow you to change the shift from positive to negative.
