Hi folks

At last I got some time in on the Joker. After the crash on the first flight I was gutted a few weeks back and have spent time chasng a little vibe so mostly hovering, my first weeks of owbership were not the best and I was very dissapointed.

Today was the day to get some wind beneath the blades and it was the best feeling ever. I only managed 2 flights as I flew the Sceadu as well, but I've got to say, this is the nicest, smoothest helicopter I have ever flown. Makes you look a real smooth flyer, the controls feel just right, the head is a masterpiece.

The noise is just awesome. I was using 3000 nimh 30 cell packs, both flights times at just over 8 minutes, mild flying, circuits, stall turns etc And its clean when you finish

I'm going to be flying this more and more and when the funds allow, LIPO's will be coming.

Hello, Lee. What happened with your S-BEC? I remember that it was causing problems. I am about to install one on my Maxi-Joker. Should I be worried?

My S-BEC works perfectly on the Maxi-Joker.

Just do a very thorough range check first with exactly the setup you will be flying and you should be fine.

Hi Alan

If you do as Greg says you 'should' be fine, however I carried out a full range check prior to my first flight too.

The manufacturers were kind enough to refund my money and the SBec has been returned, in correspondence it was stated only 1% of the units were returned faulty. Unfortunately mine ended in sorrow.

I actually prefer using a seperate pack now.

I'm sure you'll be okay but with everything we use in our models you never know really when they are going to stop working.

Hi Lee,

I have been following your progress and I am gald to hear that you are happy with the machine. i love my Joker. Once youget it all dialed in, it will become one of your favorites. I have many machines and the Joker is the one I look forward to flying the most. I am also glad to hear that the batteries are working our for you!

I have been getting very aggressive with mine and it just keeps running.

Keep flying it, it seems to get better with age! ;-)

I had a near miss with one set but glad to say their are okay.

Yes,even already after only as few flights I can see its a keeper, flies so smooth, and the more time I get on it the better.

It will be a while before I fly it like the Sceadu however, still getting my confidence up with my first electric but boy is it smooth.
