I think it's more of matching decor. Most people I know who have the bellwoods don't get the crank cover.

If I read it correctly, the case cover increases the "primary" compression ratio thereby increasing the transfer flow rate. (Hard to imagine being able to put the back cover any closer to the crank pin or lessening the clearance from the piston skirt to the cover)

it would be interesting if one plug was used for up to 60-70% throttle, and the other for the high end .. does it work like this ?

Basically, if you put a hot & cold plug in it, you shouldn't have any problems since basically, you've covered all the bases as they say in terms of plug choice.

What we are starting to see now with the dual plug head is using the same plug in both spots seems to work best. Two Enya #4 or 5.
