When the gyro has initialized, my tail rotor slowly moves in one direction. I can trim the servo 3% and then it doesn`t move anymore. Stays in the middle. Is it supposed to do this ? and shoud I trim it to be centered ?

And another thing. When I put the stick to one side, the servo ofcourse moves to that direction, but when i let go of the stick, the servo doesn`t go back to center position??

My buddies gyro does exactly the same thing, so i guess this is normal ? He hasn`t flown yet, So I dont realy know

Sounds like you have it set up just right. Now you need to get it in the air. As usuall, check the tail is working in the correct direction, and the gyro isn"t reversed. Other than that have fun.

Sounds like a HH gyro that's working perfectly.

You should adjust your rudder trim so the servo doesn't move while
the model is sitting still, on the ground.

You may have to touch the trim up a bit while it's flying if it has a
slow yaw.

You probably already know about this but just in case

Make sure you turn your radio ON before you turn the receiver on. As soon as the receiver on, let it rest for a couple of seconds without moving it so that the gyro centers itself automatically.

The servo wandering when the heli is on the ground is perfectly normal. If you trim it to hold still on the ground, the trim setting will probably be pretty good when you start flying, but you'll almost certainly need to trim again in the air. Then it will wander a bit when it's on the ground... but you have to resist the temptation to trim it again on the ground! The only thing that matters is how it behaves when it's flying.

Far as I can tell, all HH gyros make the servo wander on the ground. Like the others said, it's normal.

That answered my question too... Thanks!

I had my servo reversed the whole time the other day, and I put 6 tanks through it!!! It would just spin wildly when it got light on the skids... I just had no idea my gyro was reversed, and I had checked it a few times before that using what info at raptor technique.

Thank for all the information....Just what i wanted to hear.

I have been hovering for a month now, so I know that the gyro is working in the right direction. It was only now that i realised that I was using it in non heading Lock mode shesh....what a mistake

Flys just fine in non heading lock mode, but i might as well try all the features since I paid for them .

Im using the Ikarus Profi Heading lock Gyro.

Thanks SJ.

That is because you gave the gyro a turn command and the heli didn't turn. If you then move the body that direction the servo should get back to center.
