Here's my latest project. Trying to build an endurance heli. If Maynard Hill could fly 34.5 hours with his airplane "The Spirit of Butt's Farm", I figure I can fly 6 hours (the current record) with a helicopter. The project name at the moment is "The Spirit of Boone's Farm". That will likely have to change in the interest of pandering to the AMA, but I think it is a fun code name.

I designed it all around mini servos using SE style mechanics but with CCPM, and it will hold a four stroke transversely, so you can have a tank in front and back. Even if it doesn't happen, it is fun to dream. Anyway, the GIF is kind of shoddy, so bear with me. It won't have a clutch, but will have an auto hub, so it may be interesting to start. We'll see how long that lasts.

Thanks, John Cadwell

hmmn... after dinkin with all the linkages on mine, the CCPM sounds interesting.... so what is the weight difference between those and the standard SE weight of the equivalent components? (wondering if he perchance came across a nice 8.5 pound 60 )

Here's the preliminary Aluminum frame. The alloy is so much easier to cut than CF. Makes me want to stick with it
