Hi all,

Did you use Blue Loctite on the motor screws of your logo 10?

If not, do they vibrate loose?

Thanks, Hayden.

Hello Hayden, I use red Loctite on those two screws. It would probably be all right to use the blue Loctite. I use red Loctite on everything, I don't like bolts to come loose unless I want them to.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I plan on earthing the tail boom to the motor.
I'm a little concerned about that it won't earth correctly (get good contact) if I use loctite. I know when it's used on the screw of a remote glow start of a nitro Heli, it doesn't get good contact with the engine, so I don't put it on that screw and also I don't want to get loctite inside my motor on the Logo.

Will it come loose if I don't use it on them?
If I do have to use it, I will only put on a very small amount.

Cheers, Hayden.

I've been flying my Logo 10 for five months without LocTite on the motor screws and they have yet to budge even a tiny bit. There have been zero signs that they will ever come loose on their own.

I never even thought about putting LocTite on those screws. I guess that may have been because of years of RC car racing without a motor screw ever coming loose.

I would normallly use blue locktite on any metal to metal screws, but I've never used locktite on the motor screws for fear of getting some of the locktite into the motor.. So far, no problems without locktite..

Apply loctite with a cotton swab, very very light amount. We are not referring to dripping loctite where it would drip into the motor.

The way I do it is to put a little Loctite on the bolt, wipe off the excess with my finger or a rag, then screw it in. It never has too much Loctite on the screws to leak or drip anywhere.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick
