| I went down to the local bearing house with an NSK 6901S bearing for the rear bearing in an Enya 35. This is a stainless japanese bearing. They did not have an unsealed version, but had a sealed bearing of the same type for about $9.00. The unsealed bearing was about 5$. I just popped the seals out, and stuck in it. Boca has this bearing listed for 18.95. They don't offer a comparable bearing for less than $10.80 for a plain chromed bearing.

I think Boca has developed their business by putting togethor specific packages of bearings, and marketing them to people who don't have the time, knowledge, or tools to go to a bearing house and buy something comparable. Some of Boca's might be of higher quality (possibly their ceramics), but most of them appear to be the same thing as what is commercially available. While you do get what you pay for, paying too much is your option.
