I am starting on my gasser mechanics for my Dauphin and was wondering what would be the best gyro, servo combo for it. In the manual heading hold is crossed out is this because of the fenstron? I have a xtra 601 & 5000 would the be ok? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jay

Re gyro

I am also in the process of building a Dauphin from Vario and the dealer in Canada recomonded the Futaba GY401 c/w the S9253 servo. He said that the GY401 works great with the fenstrom. I hope this helps.

Gyro

I believe that a heading hold gyro on the Dauphin would cause it to wag pretty hard -- you have to remember that there are several blades rotating at a high speed sort of like a ducted fan. A piezo gyro would be perfect like the G501 with a 9202 servo. I don't think I would go with a heading hold with this application.
