I accedently shorted my Etec battery and it got slighty warm to the touch...does this shorten the life of the battery?

It depends on many factors e.g. how long it was shortened, if the battery was fully charged, how old is the battery. I would guess this will influence either battery lifetime or maximum capacity (e.g. drop 20%) when fully charged.

I was only shorted for like 2 seconds and it charges up to the same volts as before. I was just wondering if i shortened the life of the battery, if so then l'll order one the next time i need something...rather not if its not needed.

Voltage is not that important. If you have a computer charger e.g. Schulze try to charge and then discharge the battery and then check on your display how much current was discharge from your lipols. If you have some previous numbers you can easily compare if there is drop in capacity or not.

Unfortunately i don't have a computer charger...I'll probably get another battery so i can stay in the air longer

Thanks for your replies tho
