The servos that came with my 6000 Super don't match up with the mounting posts on the Raptor. Is there a right way to adapt them to fit?

Hmm, 58 views and no one helped you. I don't have that radio. Can you give us some more info on what the problem is? Are the mounting holes in the servo not the same as the holes in the frame?

MISFIT SERVOS!

Common problem, you are not alone. The new popular Futaba 9c that you would have enjoyed more comes with 3001' for fm and better coreless 9001's for pcm. The 3001's fit perfectly and the 9001's are short of the spacing provided in the raptor 30's servo frame. Here is the trick. There is notheing you can about it so, mount your grommets and eyelets as directed and loose start one end of the servo and then pull the servo down against the undertightened screws and force the other 2 into the other holes and compromise the servo positioning between the first and second set as you gradually tighten the set down into the servo tray. It is not the best feeling in the world, but you will have a secure servo and no problems. Just so you dont think that the problem is related to the brand of RX, because it is not!

Any possibility we can get an answer from you without the editorials? Just curious.

Hmm, my s9001 servos seemed to fit perfect in the tray and on the pitch arm. Another TT poor tolerance issue maybe? Or maybe there is more than one variation on the tray?

my mistake virtual 1!

I believe it might have been the second to the last r30 that I built with auh 3004's or something. Anyway, I'd better check next week to be sure. But there are several series of Futaba servos that meet the criteria for the r30 but that are short in the tray and somewhat difficult to mount. I thought it was the 9001's but if yours fit well I must be mistaken because you definitely would have noticed the difference. The difference is drastic enough to compel you to use force that you really don't want to on such small parts. I'll try to check and repost next week. Thanks for the correction Vitural 1.

np

Futaba has a nice chart of their servos and the various stats on them, including their physical dimensions. I was wondering why some of them show up as being shorter or longer by a fraction. It'd be nice if they included information on the spacing of the mounting holes. I'm not sure if a servo that's 1/10" longer means it has the holes 1/10" farter apart, or if it just has more blank space on the end of the mounting tab. Here's a link to that chart. That page just shows the analog servos - the digital ones are on another page nearby.

Due to a brain fart it seemed impossible to fit the servos [94743] in the frame but after fitting the grommets and bushings into the servos I was able to get them in.Thanks for the replies.
