| Methinks that the one who said it is a trade off between pressure and velocity has it right. I am also of the contention that the clearance between teh shroud and fan have a lot to do with it, as well as the shape of the fan hub its self, as this would definately cause a resistance to airflow before it ever hit the fan blades. I also wonder why they don't make fans that look like the impeller section of a turbocharger?
