Hello guys,

I have a GPH flying with a OS46 and turns 600mm NHP blades.
I would like to upgrade my 46 engine to an OS 50 SXH and I would like to ask you:
Do you think that I will have to change the main gear also in order to use 620mm blades?

Thank you in advance

No you wont, but I do suggest switching over to a delrin maingear. The stock gear wont last long.I believe the substitute is the same maingear as a RG uses.(77 tooth if i remember correctly).
The GPH will swing 600s fine w a OS50,but you will probably need to go with longer tailblades to compensate for the additional torque,as well as helping the gyro to keep up with the extra power with less work.
Stock 60 t/r blades from a Freya,Ergo,or Raptor60 will work.
I ran a GPH w a OS50 and a pipe and it was a ton of fun once I got the the kinks out of it.
Have fun!

Thank you Mitch,

I already have the Derlin one and I use the NHP tail blades. With my OS 46 FX, I am able to deal with a -9,+9 spectrum. My NHP 600mm sym blades turn constantly at 1650rpm. When I increase rpm to 1700 I have a rpm drop when I select -9 or +9 pitch. So, the maximum potential pitch spectrum for a steady 1650 is -9,+9.

So, I think that with a OS50SX it will be for sure a Hot Dog, my assesment 1800 rpm for the same pitch spectrum. I am not sure if Webra 52AAR could give me more power.

Thank you
