| I agree with you: even the 'safety critical' stuff is only as error-free as us humans can do it with our current experience in the art of software. The methods of proving it are constantly evolving.
Of course, non of this is directly of concern at the moment as both our systems have backup options available - so any software failure can be detected by the pilot and overridden.
