I'm in the market for a new reciever. I can go down to the local hobby store, and buy a hitec reciever, they pop a crystal in it, and you are "good to go". Supposedly. How much factory tuning do the hitec recievers get? Can I buy any 72 mhz hitec reciever for aircraft? The LHS can't possibly stock every channel, so how do they decide what to stock, or why do they even bother. Futaba tunes there recievers into two distinct bands, upper and lower... If I use a hitec reciever that has been running on 19, and go to 52 what is going to happen?

Any thoughts?

Thanks, John Cadwell

Heh... funny you should ask. I was just cruising through the Hitec forums and saw this:
