well made finally! but.........

Ive used nhp blades on 30 and 60 sized machines and found them to be very slim and clean but the wrong color for good orientation at distance. Further, as i progressed I becam angered at the predesessor or your blade and the tail blades for not finishing them! How dare they make a blade and leave the exposed foam core ends open to fuel oil and other contaminates and then later suggest that we buy tips to complete their incomplete product. Then they have CY tell them hey hows about finishing the ends and calling them CY blades! The nerve! Well no matter now, their market share has fallen considerably in the face of the competition. I have found nhp blades to be about the 3rd or 4th stiffest yet brittle enough not to destroy your tail completely during a boom strike. The nhp blades are relative lightweight, stiff and good performers. They make up for lack of weight in cleaness and imo the color and lack of finishing are the only problems that ive had. The 30's came with white blade covering which for the price I dont feel I should have to labor to put on, not when I can just buy cmt's or sab's or gamma's or tag's or miniature aircraft's for less and no labor involved and colored for distance disk orientation!

Looks like you have some experience on these blades are they good for auto rotation? and for the color its not a problem i'm actually using a v blades on my X-cell and i can hover inverted as close as you can to the ground i just put some white monokote strips on the tips

nhp autorotation

I have not had the pleasure of flying the cy version but the others were just fine even on my thirtys. The nhps as i remember were a tad light but were extremely clean and that mad up for the lack of weight. I believe that the ultimate in autorotation energy storage for a premium blade is a 60 sized set of gamma's. Geeez they will auto for days and let you hover for moments and then set down at your leisure, but you sacrifice some speed in swashplate maneuverability to get that. By the way what is the gram weight of your net set of cy nhp's.

180gram nhp's

That's plenty of weight for autos and even heavier than I remember my old nhp's with the unfinished tips! If you are inexperienced with autos I'd suggest that you use the technique of always always always starting the engine on throttle hold; and if it is not set properly set it to idle comfortably yet slightly higher than normal walkout idle but below clutch engagement. You will find that Futaba throttle trim has authority in hold mode and JR is locked out. Both are ok but just different. This is a major saftey issue that I stress with my students that saves them money, clutches and helps them to recognize the prescence of others without proper saftey training around them and either stay clear of them or enable to offer competent help. Lastly, the repeated daily use of the throttle hold coupled with a numerical channel checklist said aloud will throughly familiarize you with the switch function and location such that it will become second nature to use throttle hold to bring the throttle down and feather the pitch up to slow the main blades before approaching a landed heli. If you use the throttle hold at least twice every single time you burn a tank; it will be no surprise that and in an emergency you react instinctively!!!! Start your autos after several days flying with the saftey procedures I described at about 6 inches and be sure that the hover point for you midstick hover pitch is the same as your midstick hover pitch for hold mode and get some competent quality backing at your field.
