| It depends. Read the label on the side of the battery. Even a 2A trickel charger usually puts out to much voltage. When used in alarm panels these batteries never get more than 13.8vdc pushed into them. They should never be charged at more than 14.5Vdc, max. If your charger puts out more, cut it down. A typical diode (1N400x or 1N540x) put in series with your charge connection will drop the voltage by .5v, 2 in series will drop the voltage by 1v.
