| TT36My own take on the TT36 is that it's been unjustly maligned. There definitely have been some QC problems, but the major problem is that they come from the factory with the low speed needle just screwed in to place w/o really being adjusted, and the high speed needles tended to leak. I've had three of these that were all great motors. One of them had a leak at the high speed needle fixed with a piece of fuel tubing slipped over it. The combination of a misadjusted low speed needle, a leaking high speed needle, and a beginner heli pilot pretty much gaurantees a rash of problems. If you get one, tighten all the screws on the motor securely, put some fuel tubing over the high speed needle, adjust the low speed needle per the pinch test, and set the high speed on the rich side. Most likely you'll do fine. The last one I bought was from a fellow who couldn't get them to run right, and I've put at least 10 gallons through it w/o problem. Hope this helps. Steve |
