Thunder Tiger Raptors 30-90 - Imperio > Thin CA to lock the screws?

Some website recommend to use CA on the screws when going in the frame. Is that a must for a brand new frame?
I would imagine it helps when the frame has been disassembled and reassembled many time, any feedback?

If you use CA use medium and just a little dab on the end of the screw, I don't use any, I did when I built my raptor but when I need to split the frame the CA had glued it together and it was nearly impossible to split apart. After my first major crash that required new frames I just screwed it together and have not had any problems with the screws coming loose.

Hi well I use blue lock tight on that part if it is going in to metal. most of the time it is as least on my raptor this is the case. But i would do a little Ca on the servo horns. Hope this will help Ted

theg40, is right about metal to metal use blue loctite, I was refering to the plastic frames and the screws that go into the plastic standoffs use CA if you are concerned, but keep in mind you may have trouble with separating the frames at a later date.

It works good if you don't over do it one more safety thing that i do. Just make sure you have it in the right hole when you put them on.

I did not use CA on mine when I assembled it, but I noticed a few backing out later. I made it part of my checklist to try and tweak the major ones before any flying session. if I find one loose, I take it out and CA it back in. I did use CA in my 50 I just finished though, just to be safe.

After the 1st day of flying I went home and put CA on all the screws and I put Loctite on the metal-to-metal screws.

A good rule of thumb is:

Medium CA - metal to plastic (screws going into plastic)

Blue Loctite - metal to metal
