Belittle

Micro Rotors -- No I was not trying to put anyone down for thier choice in copters nor was I attacking you ! If you had read my complete thread you would have noticed that I had stopped and mentioned that this was NOT a pissing match as I at first took it but rather a point of view! I admit I was wrong about the RC Car thing but, That was THE FIRST time I had ever said that! We (You and I) have a common goal and that is to fly the nicest looking heli's for the Lowest outlay! I understand this as I too am on a limited budget. I am retired with 8 Children -- My Wife said I needed a new hobby and to leave her alone! So here I am keeping myself busy and having the time of my life!! I am truly sorry for attacking your choice and in no way would I put you down or belittle anyone for the same! I just Love Big Copters and sometime get a little over zelious about my opinion -- so in the future when I seam a little Crabby just know its not to hurt or disturb -- its just Me!

Very Nice !!! Good Job
I can see your face smiling now. Oooops No no no... your eyes did not even blink when you flew this baby.
Anyway I built the 222 ARF last Oct. I have to admit that I spent almost an hour to install the retracts. I made it working nicely with the original bell-crank and layout that was on the book. But the key was: To use regular Hitec servos, so I can edjust the end points.
Well I guess is a little too late to tell you now.
Have fun with your heli. Hope to see it on a fun-fly one day.

Airwolf Prototype Pictures

To anybody that needs them:
Back when the Airwolf first started on TV is when I got into the heli world. My first was a King Cobra by GMP, a Larry Jolly Wolf fuse, and ELECTRIC retracts. Back in those days, I purchased detailed pics of the actual modified Bell 222 Airwolf used in the TV series for my project. Well....I've been out of the heli world for the past 12 years, but still have the pics and will scan and forward them to whomever might need them. At this time, I'm getting back into it, and have to learn to fly all over again... ( Or should I say "land" all over again)

Flying is easy....controled landings are the hard part....:S

Airwolf pics...

I looked at the airwolf.com web page, and didn't see the photos I have, posted on the sight. Most of the ones I saw on the web page were taken off the show. The ones I have (71 total) are taken at an airshow that the owner at the time (Jetcopters Inc.) had the Airwolf in during the promotional stage of the TV series. If memory serves me correctly, and don't quote me on this one, I think the pics were taken by one of the pilots that worked for Jetcopters Inc. and were offered as a way to make some extra pocket change. They are copies of 35mm photos with the farthest picture being about 20 to 50 feet from the heli, and the closest one taken about 3 feet and closer from it. The photos cover just about every square inch of the Airwolf from some angle or the other. This includes the inside, outside, rotor heads, instruments, seats, guns, rocket launcher, and even the trim tab on the rear horizontal fin that most people leave off the RC versions. If you wanted to make a VERY detailed scale replica of the Airwolf, then these would be a must. I have seen some Airwolf models that people post pics of on the web sights, and they seam to get the strip in the wrong place as compaired to the prototype. Maybe this is due to the lack of any acturate pictures. I have no clue. But I have seen enough of them to prompt me to post the original message letting people know that I have them.
I should have them ready by the end of this week in Adoby Acrobat format.

Airwolf pics

Dr. Tim,
Glad you like them Tim. I thought that maybe someone out their would like them as much as I did when I first got them, especialy now that the Wolf is no longer. If nothing else, they should help you on your detailing for your compatition. I still plan on getting the Vario and might hit ya up with some questions when I get to building it. I plan on using the pics when I start putting mine together. I think I'll probibly modify mine with the horizontal trim tap on the leading edge of the stabilizer as it will aid the Wolf in forward flight. After I get the Vario, I might even try to make it adjustable in flight.....not sure....I have to get the kit first....
You can leave me on your messanger if ya like too...
As for anybody else out their that would like a copy, send me a private message and I'll get you a copy also.
