Hi guys,
I've asked for opinions before on the Webra 61 & 75 P5-AAR engines. Thanks for the replies.
However, has anybody actually run them using the Weston Genesis pipes as per the 'combo' deals at Cyberhelis site??

Cheers from NZ!

Hello mate,

I raised a similar subject for the 52 AAR engine but I didn't have replies.

Good luck

I know of a pilot who has tried the Webra 75 P5 AAR combo with the Genisis Pipe. The results are rather incomplete. He started with the pipe length long and gradually shortened it. It got to the point of starting to get happy when the aluminum header cracked. He currently is running it with an 80-90 size muffler. It runs very well except for a intermittent burble at hover rpm.

I've tried the Webra 75 P5 AAR with the Hatori 650 pipe. It's very powerful but very noisy!!! I replaced it with a Curtis Muscle Pipe. It seems to be happier on the Muscle Pipe and it is much quieter. The 75 seems to have a characteristic burble in the quarter & mid range. I've tried a variety of things (pipe length, shims, plugs) to tune it out; I'm getting closer.

E-mail Stephan at cyberheli. He will tell you what you want to know. He pre-cuts the pipe to proper length. And also says it will run circles around his OS 91 but I guess you have to have one to compare. This is from the e-mails that I got from him. I am stilll debating on getting one. The pros are less nitro so cheaper fuel. Also uses less fuel than 91 size. Con is three gallon break in and a little fussy to tune, but greatly improved over older Webra's. And I wonder how that pipe sounds?

Tune Pipe!

Hi Guys, I like to jump in and make a comment on the Genesis Tune pipe, I have the setup on my Ergo 60, is the Webra 61 P5 with the Genesis Tune pipe, I'm using 15% of synthetic fuel ( The Green Stuff ) and the engine is running like a champ allot of power more you ran the engine more power you get, the only problem I ran into was trying to tune the pipe after that no problem at all.....I'm happy with my Webra 61 P5 and my pocket too....

Hey Jay:
What did your pipe length turn out to be?

Thanks

Pipe length

Hi Alan,

The Genesis Tune Pipe is cut down to 13 1/2", between the pipe and header is 3/4" ( coupler ) the first time I had allot of problem to tune the darn pipe , for some reason that engine works good on back presure mufflers, it will run good on a KSJ muffler too.

Thanks Jay! I am going to use one of these pipes on an OS 61 SX. Just wanted to get in the ball park!

Alan, just be careful wen you cut the pipe, before try it with out cutting it to see how it comes out, tune pipes are touchy some time and they will work depend on were you located at and sea level, that makes a huge difference.

I just got back from a funfly in HK, and those guys with the Webra 75's with the two piece pipe have them flying like rockets. Stephen told me he starts at a total length of 375 from the face of the header to the first baffle in the pipe. After seeing them fly like this, it is a fast setup, and not noisy at all.
