Hello,

I am putting together a Logo 10 and need to decide on cyclic servos. I would like a light fast digital servo and has to be able to handle 3D.

Has anybody tried a Futaba S9650 Digital Mini servos. It's specs are:

1.4" x .60" x 1.13"
0.92 oz
50 oz/in, .14 sec @ 4.8 volts
62.5 oz/in, .11 sec @ 6.0 volts
Coreless motor
Nylon gears

It is recommended as a 1/12 or 1/18 car servo. It does have a reasonable price, $60.00. I will be using a JR 8103 transmitter and R700 7-Channel FM slimline receiver or a R649 9 Channel S-PCM receiver.

The other servo I have been considering is the JR DS3421 premium mini servo. It's specs are:

0.58" x 1.30" x 1.02"
1.04 oz
65 oz/in, .18 sec @ 4.8 volts
Coreless motor
Metal gears

The DS3421 sells for $85.00. Is there any other servo I should consider?

I will be using a GY401 gyro. Is there a mini servo that can match the S9253? Is it worth the extra weight to stay with the S9253?

servo's

I have the jr ds 3421 servo's. no complaints. I know that a number of the guys flying 3d with them run the jr's also. I have yet to hurt one even with a few less than perfect landings.

You can get the JR DS3421 servos from Chief Aircraft for $68 each if you buy 4 or more or $72 for each for less than 4. Very nice servos! You would not be sorry you chose them.
