Well.....just when I think I have resolved my woes with Charles at helihut http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t72228p2/
....I get screwed again!

He would not sell me a Futaba 149 PCM receiver with my order placed online, so I ordered it off of ebay the same time I ordered the rest of my supplies. Now that I got the GEM2000 issue worked out, I started installing the electronics in my new Rappy 70 and find out that the receiver xtal cap is in place, but there is no xtal....of which I payed him his extra $10 for and specifically requested on Channel 47. Not to mention that the reciver has a sticker on it that states "Low Band".

Suppose I should have checked before I left him + feedback on ebay. Sent him email...but it bounced.

Now, my question is can I just put a channel 47 xtal in the low band receiver? Is this a problem or will it cause a problem?

Thanks,
Nathan aka Pitbull

OK

So I find here in the forums that many people say that there is not a problem using a high band xtal in a low band receiver.

Then I find many people who say don't do it.

Oh...so confused. Guess it is best not to chance it.

Anyone have a high band Futaba 9ch 149DP PCM receiver they want to trade for a low band?

Thanks,
Nathan
