Field Box Find

Hey! I just set up the same identicle box. I was at K-Mart and there it set on the shelve with no Price Tag. The sticker on the shelve below it said 27.00. I hustled the last one off to the check-out and low and behold it scanned for 17.00! I came home and mounted a gel battery in the bottom and cut out the back on the bottom section (between the cord holder). I used a heated exacto knife. Then I installed a Accu-Glow Power panel. Pretty cool. The Cord winder holds my Glow Plug Connecter and leads. I plan on adding a quick Field Charger to the front side. I love the handel too, plus the 3rd wheel in front is handy on the basement floor moving it around where and when needed. I doubt I will ever need the bottom for storage. This thing is full of storage. Room for starters and everything you could imagine. Definately a nice find!!! How much did you pay for yours Jon? I am curious if K-Mart screwed up the price on mine.

Box

Well, I got mine in a trade. It was full of stuff and I ended up keeping some of it and selling the rest. I got it, and a bunch of parts, and my shuttle RG, radio, etc. I then sold all of the stuff that I didn't want, and kept the box (and a lot of other parts) and the Shuttle RG, and by the time it was all said and done, I have about $150.00 in my RG and the box. Of course, I had to buy the power panel, etc., but it was all worth it to me. I am trying to figure out how to attach my fuel bottle to the box. I can put my radio case against the handle, and that works fine. Send me some pics of yours!

Oh yeah, what do you think of the stickers that I put on it!

yeah, I like the third wheel too, as it just glides on smooth surfaces with no effort.

I Got a set of the same stickers and I am flirting with the idea of putting them on the box instead of my truck haha after seeing your box. (My wife would love me more for that, but were talking heli's here right????)
They'll probly end up on the truck!

I will have to get some pics up on my gallery soon. I would like to figure out a way to throw a gallon jug on too. Ultimately though a seperate fuel container in the bottom with my accu-glow fuel pump switch and a good pump would do the trick and protect from the elements. A simple drill hole would work the tubbing through. You could eithier go coiled or rolled on the extention cord holder. How about a six foot fueling line HAHA

By the way that is a nice fleet you got there.

Check Ya

What a great field kit. I stopped by Canadian Tire on the way home from work and found the same one.

Thanks for the idea.

I saw a somwhat similar case at Homeless Depot. Instead I bought a $20 aluminum attache tool case there. It has dividers and my transmitter, starter, 12v battery, and some tools all fit into it snugly.

Me2.

I bought the same aluminum case from Home Depot and the aluminum seems to be getting bubbles under it from the adhesive, but for twenty bucks who can complain.
