These types of questions never get treated maturely and usually end up being a ford/chevy p&$%ssing match, that bring out the worst in many people.... specially those who have old experences or no experience with the product and pass on third party scuttle butt.
For a more practicle, up to date opinion, go and ask the people who are current owners and users of the product. (e.g. You would not ask a Ford owner what he thinks of Chev and vice versa). Where will you find that? In the brand specific forums here on RR.
Go the the Century forum here on RR (scroll down the menu on the right hand side of the mainpage and you will find the brand specific forums for all the various manufacturers) and ask the people there who are every day users of the product what they think.
You are obviously new to this forum. Generally you will find that the manufacturer's representatives will not voice opinions on the product of other manufacturers in public forums, and if they do, the proper ettiquette is that they will show, in their signatures, that they are a rep for whatever product they represent. Unfortunately, there are some who still do not do so (some of these have already posted here in your thread). I know Century would not look kindly on one of its reps answering such a question on how good or not good Hirobo or Thunder Tiger are.
So my advice to you is to be sure to ask users of the product what they think about it.
Also for an idea of its broad popularity, you can get a pretty good idea by the number of postings on the product by the users of that product in their respective forums. Browse through these forums and see how many of these postings are positive ones, are postings on genearal motor, gyro or mechanical set up with the product and how many are issues of component failures or other design or manufacturing problems. This will give you a very educated idea of that manufacturers quality and support.
