How about a donation ???

Hey guys,

All those "nice" attaboy comments aren't worth a darn unless you're willing to put your money where your mouth is....... How about scrolling down to the bottom of the RR home page, click on "Support RunRyder" and make a donation ???? It doesn't have to be a significant amount.....every dollar helps Mark, I'm sure.......

The funds that Mark receives will help him maintain this great site and hopefully keep it going for a long time to come......

Talk is cheap.......show me the money...........

PS----- I don't know Mark, never met him but I sure love this site.......

I think you is talking $hit mate, Just because you have made a donation this month does not give you the right to browbeat others

I was planning a donation when i got the money form the sale of all my kit + a present from my wife, I dont even have a heli to fly right now, so i dont need you to try and make me feel guilty

Also if you think positive comments are not worth a darn, without a monetry back up, well what can i say?

Hey Mate,

I do not have to go running to my wife to ask permisson to make the donation. I've been thinking about it for a while and this thread inspired me to do so......

Don't be so friggin cheap...... If you're flying helicopters, you can certainly afford to donate $1 dollar.......I believe there are over 5000 members to this forum so, you do the math.......

PS- I'm not in the habit of making such sarcastic posts and would rather help than berate anyone (as was my original intent). But the tone of your post deserves it.....

Lost my job over ten weeks ago, over 30,000 support job lay offs in the city over the last year, I DONT have a heli to fly hell, i dont even have a transmitter, until some money somes thru, in a month or so, it might make me poor, but not cheap.

10,000 i believe, yes if eveyone gave a dollar, it would help, still does not give you the right to shoot your mouth off, about donations, if some feels compelled to give, or has the xtra cash - they will.

Well your not helping me, trying to make people feel bad about not donating is not the way to go,

I am sorry that you felt that my post had tone, but the truth is, it did, I probally shouldn't have said "you are talkin ****", more i dont agree, but the truth is it did really pi$$ me off I am not going to say anymore so you are welcome to have the last word.

Firstly, although I don't consider it "shooting my mough off", the fact that this is an open forum does give me the right to express my views...... and obviously, it also gives you that right as well....

One of the problems with emails and forums such as this is that sometimes the true meaning of things are lost...... My post, which had a somewhat "humorous" tone (in my estimation), was meant to put a spark under some folks butts that can easily click on the "support" button and make the donation, no matter how small.....

"Talk is cheap" is certainly a legitimate expression......... My post was not meant to "brow beat" anyone, as you suggest, but it obviously had that impact on you. For that, I appologize...... Everyone here is an adult and can decide for themselves what to do.......In many cases, folks don't even know they can "donate".... They believe this forum magically maintains itself without regard for the expense, time, work and effort that goes into providing this comodity....

My "wife" comment was definitly meant to annoy you, just as your comments were meant to annoy me......be man enough to admit it..... You've already admitted that you set the tone with your uncalled for comment "you are talking ****" which did annoy me (see I can admit it......

Lastly, I'm sorry that you lost your job and hope things turn around for you soon......

I can't help you with a heli but I do have a JR Century 7 Heli radio I no longer use if you want it..... It's not a computer radio but it works great.... Probably needs new a new battery........

I wasn't going to reply, as i thought this would only escalate, but your post has alot of truth to it, as did mine, go on be a man admit it

Thanks for the offer of the Tx, but in about 4 weeks'ish, i will have access to some savings + the money for all my kit i sold (i must be mad giving the guy 5 weeks to pay) so i will have a few $$$/£££ at which point both Ron Kyle + RR will get a donation. followed by a post from me on what i should buy.

That was a generous offer, considering,

RotorX and JuanRodriguez,

My hat is off to both of you. As I was reading the posts I would have never guessed that this thing would end up where it did.

Seriously, nice ending.
