do you go to fly with alan anytime cause i would love to have a great time over there.
i was stationed on pendelton for about 6 months and it was always great weather and good people everywhere.
i will have to get a tempest or something when i get back.
i will have a few extra bucks i will have to spend when i get back
atleast before the wife trys to take some from me
i was seriosly thinking about a p-max but century is not on the top of my list plus some of these darkside guys scare me
they are really weird

I love my tempest cuz it was one of the sickest helis at the san diego funfly. that is where Alan flew my heli. I personally don't really know him but that kid and his little bro have some talent. I'm going to the vegas funfly just so I can see them fly again.

The tempest is a solid machine but expensive to fix. so make sure you know what your getting youself into.

Ray

Oh ya, camp pen. Is about 15 min from me.

Trapped

Feel free to comment:

I'm addicted to RC heli. I promised not to spend to much and not to update. I already fall for updating my heli and then, the first promise is hard to hold.
I would like to buy 2 parts of metall (for my C30). Either I buy them in Japan and pay a huge shipping and credit card fee, or I buy them in two different shops of the US (a little less cheap) and pay 2 times the shipping fees, or I buy it in Switzerland and I don't pay for the shipping, but I pay the parts at very high prices. I'm trapped and pissed off. I have to break my moneybox anyway .
How do you manage it outside of the US and Japan? (North Americans and Japanese may also answer of course)

I asked for cheaper shipping to hobbynet-jp but didn't get a answer till yet. If I get not answer soon, I will order in 2 different places in the US, but I know that if I do that, I will buy more to justify the shipping fee (a pair of carbon blades, for example). Bny the way, are carbon of glass fiber blades of any good on a .30 heli?

Next year, I get married and I have to save money for the big bash, but I can't resist to spend money for my heli. Either it's not my fault or I'm too addicted and the shops will ruin me. Bastard !

Ok, that was my little pooh of the day. Know, I'm gonna do the bigger one: my job .

Take care

Raydog:

You have that crazy look in your eyes like you do fly as if you stole it. Oh yes, that look is also mandatory in this hobby. Your pics look great.

You are correct about Alan, Danny and their father, Alan Sr. I fly with them in Vegas, and they are truly the nicest, most helpful people. Alan and Danny fly a heli like it really is a bat out of hell. In spite of their obvious talents and accolades, they are the most unpretentious people at the field. All three of them are always willing to help anyone with any heli needs. It is a pleasure seeing Alan Sr during the week and all three on weekends.

When you are out here for our fun fly, look me up. All the locals at the field know me, so they can point you in that direction.

Take care, and the best of flying.

Best Regards, Dario

Damn look who popped up. Mr. Abel Acosta. How you doing brother. Missed you at the funfly in san diego. What have you been up to mister. Did you get your electronics from Chris yet. Get your freaking heli going so we can fly.

Guys now this guy is the inventor of FLY IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT. Abel from Ace Hobbies. Dude I want to just like you, you prick.

Stolen, borrowed or your sisters, I don't give a damn just fly the **** out of it till it falls out of the sky and won't fly anymore. Then go get you mothers.

thanks Dario. I will look you up at the sin city funfly.
