Main Discussion > "standard" servos on a Sceadu .30

I have my Sceadu 30 kit just about done, and as of right now the only servos I have are the ones that came with my Futaba 9CHP... they are S9001 "coreless motor" servos. I also have a JR SuperServo for my tail, which should be fine. My ultimate concern is if these servos are good enough for aile/ele/pitch? Does anyone know?

These are the same servo's I have on my Sceadu 30. The only one you may have a problem with is collective. I am just learning to fly, so for me just starting to hover I think they will be ok. Any harder flying and you may want a higher torque servo on collective. On the 30 it may not matter, I have heard of flutter problems with lower torque servo's on the 50.

The 9001's will be more then enough for a 30, on any function.

I am sure you can even use 148's or 507's. I just want to say that these are a lot better then them. You might want to upgrade them if you upgrade it to a 50.
