If you take a look at this drawing they show a spacer not a thrust washer. Anyway, if I wanted a cheap beginner heli I would buy a hawk iv for $159.00 and get parts all day long in the US. I am still interested in the heli. Looks like a very nice design and I like the ccpm.

well we will see when mine arrives...

Having owned a Hawk you are welcome to it at any price... Its total crap... The servo tray flexes all over the place, the wire drive tail is a joke, the bolts with cheese heads may as well be made of cheese, and more bolts fall out than stay in place....

I doubt the chinese could do worse than that...

How come half of the posts on Runryder end up being Century bash-fests? The servo tray on my Hawk Sport doesn't flex at all, the wire drive tail works just fine and dandy (like it has for MANY other manufacturers), and not a single bolt has broken OR come loose on mine, and this is after many, many gallons. The Hawk Sport with the $20 ball bearing upgrade is as good a heli as any other 30-size out there. Period.

RotorX, sorry, I tried to interpret what you typed but have no idea what the hell you meant.

Isaac, my post was in response to Galifrey's statement about the Hawk. "Crying" in the Century forum isn't gonna make much of a difference when the statement I'm referring to is in a different section.

If it wasn't for the valuable technical information I pick up by being here, I would never come back. This place has dissolved into the usual bullying situation that always spawns from large groups of people. Nobody can ever just get along with their different opinions and ideas. Some other larger group always has to step in and start ridiculing just because they're not a part of that particular group and it makes them feel tough. I never insult others or their ways just because they're different from me or I don't understand them. Doing so is a a good way to flaunt your ignorance. I'm going to stop now because I know that telling this to everyone is a waste of time, the few that understand what I mean know it already, and those that are too ignorant to see my point are never going to understand it, no matter how much I explain it.

I only call it as I see it from my personal experience with a Hawk...

I have owned many helicopters and the Hawk did show promise but things just kept falling off...

The engine mount bolts snapped, the servo tray flexed when using collective etc etc...

This is not a slagging it is fact backed up by real experience and should be regarded as constructive criticism by century...

The Raven with the metal frames is a lot better, and the predator is awesome... I am not in anyway slagging century, just the hawk...

It is a heli that is designed to be budget, its better than a shuttle but thats about it...

Perhaps yout paranoia about century slagging is making you see it everywhere...

no not today, guess it will be tomorrow now...

Its in transit from international hub to local hub, so I expect early morning...

When I said better than a shuttle, I think it has a better ability for 3d than a shuttle the stock shuttle is a smidge lazy in the cyclics...

Hey Galifrey, what engine you are planing to install on the Cypher 50?
You know that the flying review depends on a good engine. :-)

BTW I have a Webra 52AAR with Low Nitro Weston Pipe on a GPH 50 and has tons of power. I am using 10% Nitro.

Also on the Shuttle I am using the Low Nitro Weston Mini Pipe and the head speed is screaming

Have you check the West Eurotech 50??? This engine is made by Webra but with Weston SPECS

I have the West Eurotech 50 Airplane version with a Weston Pipe and is incredible powerfull. I am doing 19,000RPM in a very fast airplane. You can be pretty sure my next heli engine would be a West 50.

Here is a pic of my FAST airplane with the West engine:

I Have a brand new OS50 with 60 carb ready to go in..

I have looked at the west engines, but havent had a chance to try one yet.

Might be an option for the future..

Parcel is out for delivery this morning, so kit review will follow later today
