My friend has ended up with a brand new TT raptor 36,it dosn't have main blades.Which ones should he get and why?
He can hold a nice hover over a spot at 150 mm with his piccolo FP.
Thanks regards Don.

Gidday yourself Donlynn!

You might want to repost your question on the raptor section of this forum, you might get a faster and/or better responce from a raptor flyer that way.....

Howdy, since your friend isnt doing anything blade demanding anything in the 550mm range will be fine. Frankly, woodies would be the best first choice as they fly well and you can auto with them for $20.00 or so. There is also a Co. called ABmodels that sells glass FRP blades in semi and sym configurations REAL cheap I just got a set of 550mm semi lifting glass mains for $28!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im gonna try them out tomorrow Im hoping my Rappy will auto even better with semis verses the syms it has now. Go to :www.airborne-models.com/
then go to the lower left side of main pg. and clk on accessories, then go to bottom of pg. there you will find the blades and their pics, they also have 680mm mains as well for only $55 if anyone is interested, Ill post my opinion after this weekend on em after I abuse em.

$28 Fiberglass Blades

I have a few sets of these blades. They look and fly great. Several of the guys at my field are using them now and everyone has been very happy with them. And they are only $28!!! I posted the info several months ago on this web site, but here is a repeat of that post.

The company that makes them is "The World Models". The USA distributor and retailer is Airborne Modles. Here is a link to their web page. They also have full page ads in RCM magazine.

http://www.airborne-models.com/

Once you get there, look down at the lower left corner and you will see "Parts and Accessories". Click on Accessories. Go to the bottom and click on page 2. Once on page 2, scroll down to the bottom and you will see the following two items:

FRP main rotor blade PR6200550 Fiberglass 550 mm semi-symmetrical. Clockwise rotation. 4 Oz. pre-balanced. Bolt hole 4 mm, root 12.5 mm.

FRP main rotor blade PR6200551 Fiberglass 550 mm symmetrical

If you then go to page 3, you will see the 660's and 680 blades.

Please note the web site says the root is 12.5mm, in reality, they are exactly 12mm and fit the Raptor perfectly. Yes, they include spacers and bushings for 3mm and 4mm bolt holes.

I hope this helps. -Steve
