| My recipe:
1. ALL servo wheels are set at dead 90 d. relative to the pushrod with servos at neutral. Use a GW tool. The standard is perfection here. Shoot for nothing less.
2. AIL, ELE, PIT ATV's set to 100%. Don't touch them. Ever.
3. All subtrims set to zero. Don't touch them. Ever.
4. Within reason, adjust for MAXIMUM total travel of ele, ail, and pit using the CCPM menu. Use AFR or D/R to reduce throws as needed in any flight conditions in which you need less. If the percentages within the CCPM menu get really high, consider a larger servo wheel.
5. Any detectable pit>cyclic interactions can be effectively zeroed out with simple linear pmixs of pit>ele or ail. You MIGHT need a curveable pmix if the interaction appears and then leaves across the total range of travel. Fastidious benchwork and high quality servos reduce interactions to little or none.
The additional work to set up a CCPM model correctly is justified by the superb performance seen at the flying field.
