Hi,

I just bought a Hacker C40/12T and this is what they recommend for power:

"Electric Helicopter LMH-Corona C40 12T Hacker 40-3P 6-7cells-3000 NiMh"

My Question, where is the best place to get the batteries from?? Can/should Lipos' be used?

I'm still new to helis but do lipos achieve more flight time? or more aggressive flying?

I just finished my corona + hacker c40 12s setup and wonder if it is possible to get 20+ mins of flying using lipo.

Lipos weigh less, many times have more power and LOTS more flight time than NiCad or NiMh packs.

In this case, a 7 cell pack of GP/Sanyo 3300s will weigh around 16 ounces. The Thunder Power TP8000-2S4P pack has a tad more power, yet only weighs 11 ounces! Best of all, it has 8000 mAh

With this pack, lots of guys around here get 30-45 minute flight times per charge. Itd take 3-4 of the 7 cell packs to get this type of flight time.

Less weight, more power and lots more flight time - I fly LiPos in everything

LVRCFlyer,
Thanks for the info.

I'll certainly look into Lipos when I get more flights under my belt

cheers
