Well soon the last three remaining concordes will be comming in to land at Heathrow, three minutes apart, with no speed restriction on the last 20 miles to reduce noise to the people, today they are gonna get a earful.

I wlill be watching three concordes come in and land with 3 minute intervals one after the other off me roof garden with a brewski

This is it guys no more concorde, Richard Branson offered to take the planes on and run them at a loss, but BAA would not have it, they rather see them go to the grave than RB owning them - sad........

long white dart thing - verrrrrry fast.

Should have heard these beasts when they came in the whole place was shaking, this things resonate at subsonic levels 20hz and down, one used to be bad enough.

Sometimes i would walk to the runway and the feeling the noise when one took off -WOW.

Three comming in to land, the whole place was alive, you cannot bottle the feelings that a Concorde give you when it tears past, but three, they went out in style............

ah bollox to em all... Virgin tried to save em but BA wouldnt let em..

Concorde is more profitable now than it ever has been..

No need to get sentimental.... its a plank that flies fast, it has been around for decades...

It could be around for decades more IF BA didnt have its head up its ass

BTW nice pics naomi...

With $11,000 price tag.. I rather have a couple of turbine helis. than a 3 hrs flight to UK. Sure was fast alright.. put a big hole in your pocket.. Now looks like it has a reserve spot in British aerospace museum.

If that is the last flight of Concorde I'll drink a gallon of Coolpower, someone'll keep one on for airshows and her Maj's flight

Wasn't just a fast plank - that would be a f16 or something, its was the worlds fastest passenger airliner, Also one of the best looking planes, Mach 2 baby packed wth passengers, that are chilling,

I see them fly by all the time, Its one of those things if you ever have been in within vibration range of this bird when it went up, you be buzzing.

I am not getting sentimental, to be honest my house wont vibrate any more at 10:30 hehehe.

I am just giving concorde credit that i think it has earned as a plane as a passenger liner and anyone that dont like that statement - tough

Cool

But for the price of a round trip ticket you could buy a turbine, a couple of gassers and 75 years of club dues and still have enough to go out and tie a load on!

Who needs to go that fast anyway? I however, would love to own a 1/20th scale turbine model of it just for the thrill of possibly loosing it over the trees and pissing off the nieghbors......

Oh how we laugh!

That was one hell of an airframe wadn't it!?

Yeh, but that was only when they had decided that the commercial flights would stop, i wish i had a ride when the fare was not too steep about 700 quid one way, could have hitch hiked back

I Agree

Your still better off taking the QE2, enjoying the ride and maybe gamble and smoke a couple of cigars.

Call me old fashioned.

If you ever had a ride...

you'd say it's a sad day. Cramped, but awesome service. You got off the airplane feeling like a king and quite refreshed. It was the only real "romatic" fixed-wing aviation experience left. Don't complain about the price. What will it cost now for us mere mortals and civilians to fly over the speed of sound?

I guess I'll go beat up my heli. I know I'll feel better!
