Got Jet Fuel? Turbine Helicopters > Jetcat Jitters......

Well, I let the Cat run today. Flew the rotors off, so to speak. Flew well, until hover. It has a sort of shimmy in the landing gear. Did not notice it before, but I was probably too blown away by the turbine. Does anyone elses Jetcat have the shaking Landing gear? How much is too much?

I don't have any vibration or wobbles to speak of while hovering. I never get the locked in hover that some other helicopters have but it is smooth. I just have to be on the cycle all the time to keep it in one place. It's hard to imagine that landing gear wobbling. Josef designed it to destroy what ever it hit before allowing the engine to get dented.

Is the tracking and all that other stuff OK? Are you using the hard o-rings?

Mine has had them off and on badly!!

Goes away in fwd flight or desending hover, but feed in the power for a stable hover and the wobbles slowly appear then go away if you transition into fwd flight again.

Joseph has said it is my O-Rings and that they need to be lubed with (according to joseph) any kind of oil.

I have changed to the harder O-Rongs and that has helped some but not all of it.

Taylor has suggested swaping the main blades, again early on that help some.

Ill check that

I will see if the o rings are ok. The wobble is not bad, but a bit bothersome. I need to recheck the balance anyway. Thanks for the reply!

Wobble

Mine is not bad either but like you said bothersome.

Joseph has told me repeadly to just fly it (more fwd flight) and it will go away.

i would not worry too much ... going to 1400 head RPM also smooths things out a bit .. , harder o rings, and metal grips also do help ..
