Got Jet Fuel? Turbine Helicopters > graupner head issues ?

Here is a picture of a Graupner GRP head that aparently snapped off on a NH90. Anyone hear of any issues with this set up ? I have a Graupner head set up for my NH90 that I was going to use, but looking at this im thinking of using the same head as on my bell 230 (Vario Benzine head with metal grips), or something similar, like an Xcell SE head .... I Intend to fly the crap out of my NH90, and I would hate to be thinking of this everytime i fly ...

Sorry, thats NOT a NH-90 head!!!... anyone who would fly a grp head on a heli that heavy is just asking for problems...

go here to see the CORRECT SET-UP.
Our head blocks are metal...fully ballraced .

They are NOT supplied from Graupner with a grp head... also that pictures shows a very well old/worn uni-expert head with bushed mixers... Definately NOT NH-90 equipment.

Sandy, my bad here ... you are correct ... I saw the pic below and automatically asumed it was the same head that all mechanic sets for the NH90 ship with .. . I went through my rotorgead parts for the Graupner head, and it is like you said all metal .... was Graupner at any time using the plastic parts ?

As for the picture of the crashed NH90, i guarantee mine will be WAY UGLIER !!

nope, not on that model...never.
That head looked pretty old those grips look like late 70's early 80's... its wierd though, the last time I saw a pic of that model i think it had a robbe head on it or a vario head.. it was not a graupner system. Either way GRP was not the wise choice for a model that large on that day..
l

ever consider a moo-cow theme with udders? (rubber glove filled with water)
