Anyone know where to find heat blankets ?? The heat blanket that Vario sells is around 3 sq', and goes for like $27 .... The automotive racing shops also sell heat blankets, but the price is the same or a bit higher ... are there any other sources for this stuff if i want to buy in bulk ? for now, im just getting some more of the stuff Vario sells ....

its much better stuff, the header heat blanket kit has a lot of matierial and will work for your bell 230, I needed the same stuff for my bk-117 and its staying very cool now. for your pipe, wrap the pipe too with this and safety wire.. and also the sides of the fuse. no more troubles for sure.
you can also try j.c. whitney auto supply..probably cheaper yet.

yup, thats good for the fuse, but i used this on
the pipes of my bk with great results.very heavy weave. and yes its a robbe bk-117.
(she will be leaving me shortly to make room for new and different stuff, had it since 98')

try doing a search for JC whitney auto supply, they might sell something similar and cheaper...

if the ec- pipe is multi-wall, it will be cooler.

gas/fuel fittings

Sandy on the BK build up section i took notice of your access pannel for the turbine electronics and i would like to know what fittings you are using for the fuel/gas fill. are they festo fittings?
can you provide me with part numbers for these fittings.
I would like to incorporate these in my H500 project
