JestRR Senior Heliman Location: Florence, Oregon
| After flying the old paint scheme for a few tanks, it was abruply brought to my attention that the Burgandy and the grey did not make a goof flying color when mixed at tree top level flying. So its was off to the paint booth for the paint scheme that I should have done in the first place. The Petrolium Helicopters INC Bell 407. I thought that I shouldn't have painted the second heli like my first attempt. That is why I went with the Burgandy. MAN WAS I WRONG!!!
The only real thing that went wrong with repainting was...
1. the clear from the old came off in spots,
2. it took almost two cans of yellow to cover the burgandy,
3. the paint was so thick that most of my rivits and details are barely visable unless you look real close,
I had to HAND paint the Logo with a bruck and auto paint! NOT and easy thing to do if you have ever tried. If you have, then you know all about it!!
4. I should have dont it like this in the first place.
