Hi Everyone!

I have just installed my ACRO 280BB in my HB (by recommendation of several guys in this forum! Gazoo, Astro30...) After 2 stock motor and 2 HB 370 upgrade motor I decided to give a chance to this one! Everything else is stock except for the swash plate mod. I was surprise that after maybe 3-4 minutes of flying (indoor) the motor was VERY hot . Is this normal? I did not installed the heat sink yet (backordered)! Heat sink on the tail is on. Is the heat sink will correct this situation? Do I have to "break" this engine. Do I have to be concern about this overheating, or is it normal, I am affraid that this will eat the brushes prematurely.

Any advise will be much appreciated

Regards;

Donald.

Something is not right - the motor should not get any hotter than the stock motors get.

What pinion and battery are you running? an 8 tooth seems to work really well with this motor. A 10 tooth will get the motor warm.
