e-Minicopter Joker > Joker Radio question

About to order the Joker and confused about radios. I love the 9Z and the fact it has a tach. Do you need to buy anything else to use the tach?

The 9C is very reasonable. Question is is this radio sufficient or do I go for the 9Z?
Thanks.

The 9CHP is plenty for the Joker.

Even the FX-18 with a few optional switches would do (I fly my Joker with both).

The 9Z is more than you need, and it is more difficult to program because it has more features and is quite old.

The tach doesn't need any extras, the sensor is built into the transmitter case. But I find it much safer and more convenient to use one of those tiny hand-held tachs that you can buy for 20 bucks or so.

Just imagine yourself holding your transmitter over the rotor blades of a running helicopter....

Spammer's right. I had a "C" and traded up? to a "Z" because I needed the swash mixing for my NOTAR. I miss my "C" and if I had to do it over again, I would have kept it.
