But none of the helis work for me... hmm. All the planes work with my transmitter, but none of the helis respond. Weird.

Yup. I posted on the FMS board and got some help. The Lower channels listed in the cal window are for helis, the upper for the airplanes. Works great, and man is that 32 bit transmitter input smooooth. Works great. Thanks.

THe long awaited sequel to FMS 6.0, FMS 7.0 has been released. FMS is the Flying Model Simulator, the freeware R/C simulator. Several people on this board have built models for it. The simulator supports the use of your transmitter trainer jack to control the helis, and I could not get mine to work. The newest version of FMS has two seperate control setups for helis and airplanes, whereas 6.0 only had one.

Question About FMS

How does FMS compare to Realflight G-2? I see alot of people talking about FMS. You just download the software and fly? Another stupid question, can you possibly use the G-2 interface adapter?

Not sure. There are aspects of FMS that are not very realistic (mostly wind) but 7.0 seems to be better than 6.0

I tried the FMS Beta Version 7 with the Real flight G2 box and it works perfectly. You need to set it up as a joystick input and reassign the channels to the ones used by the G2 control box.

Does anyone know how to reduce the piro rate of the Three Dee heli?

Thanks for the reply.
Yesterday I had already been able to change quite a few set of parameters by going into the .par file.
I changed the piro rate as well as several parameters until I got it to fly pretty much as I wanted.
I'm surprised at how good the sim is. Being free it's certainly the way to go for people that are just starting and don't want to spend much on a sim.

That's odd. I installed it in three W2000 computers and I didn't have any trouble.
