Computer Flight Simulators > Ground Friction in G2?

Has anyone noticed that there seems to be very little friction between the helis and the ground. I've noticed that the heli will weathervane into the wind sitting on the ground with the rotors stationary. It also slides along the ground in a strong wind. I'm really just wondering if the rest of you have noticed this problem.

It seems to me that accurately modeled friction between the ground and heli would be important for simulating the tipping tendency when landing with sideways movement.

Maybe if this is a universal problem Knife Edge would consider addressing this in a future patch.

BTW: I have the landing realism at maximum.

Friction?

I have noticed that as well, lowering the wind from "gale force" will fix that for you.

Gale force wind...

That's the thing, I usually fly with the wind set at 5mph gusting to 10, with the gust slider in the first position from the left. I've flown with stronger winds for practice just because the winds around here can pick up at a moments notice, but I've found that anything stronger than the above settings just makes flying unpleasant.

I guess I'm just a stickler for details, but to me the heli shouldn't move at all in a 10mph wind while on the ground unless it's spooled up and light on the skids, especially on grass.
