e-Electric Batteries & Chargers > best eco 8 set up?

Question mark
Heliman
Location: New Zealand

Looking to set up an eco 8 soon.......so far I am covinced on a decent brushless/speed controller set up, and at this stage a couple of CP2400s.
My questions - is anyone currently and successfully using LiPos and associated charger, and is it a reliable option with both power and duration benefits and by how much?
It would seem to me that to invest in NiCds may not be the best in value if something better is available....... cost a little more intially sure but pehaps better long term ?
does anyone know a estimated life of an 11.1 LiPo set up suitable for an eco 8?
Problem being that when siver polymer and lithium sulphur cells become available they will more that likely will require there own chargers too!

many thanks.
