OK First post :-)

I have 7 chanels on my reciever, but can only use 6 of them because of the batt. has to be plugged in one of them. So, I was thinking if I used a Y lead with the batt on one end and a servo on the other, then connect it to the 7. channel. Thereby I can use all 7 servos.

Would that work?

Or would I fry the hole thing

Yes that is how to do it as the bat only uses two wires the third and the ground tell the servo what to do

I would call that the "batman signal" channel . short for battery manual signal channel ..

I've got a similar question to SJN's. I too have a "seven" channel reciever (6 channels + the battery plug on 7). All the channels are used for the servos/gyro gain and I would like to mount an onboard battery monitor.

So my question is: Can I use a Y harness plugged into the battery channel with one Y going to the battery and the other Y going to the battery monitor? If so, would this allow the battery monitor to give a fairly accurate reading?

Thanks,

Mike

Probably the most accurate place for the battery reading would be to insert the Y between the power switch and the receiver.

Of course the more things you add in the series, the more failure points you introduce. Just something to keep in mind. Anything that can fail and cause loss of power can kill your heli.

I wonder how common it is for people to physically reinforce battery connections?
