e-Electric Batteries & Chargers > Sanyo NiMH 3300 pack question

When I cycle my 3300 NiMH pack through a few Discharge/Charge cycles it typically charges about 3300mAh & discharges about 3000mAh.

Is that normal or is it broken?

I was expecting it to take about 3500-3600 & discharge 3300.

It does start to get warm as it approaches the end of the charge cycle.

Is anyone else using these packs?

(BTW - I've read all the threads on this forum about peak detection of NiMH using Supernova 250s etc. I don't think it's a false peak.)

Was your first charge at C/10 for 14 hours or so? If not, do a nice long slow charge to help get the batteries fulls charged and balanced (not sure that is the correct turn).

It wasn't 1/10C charged the first time (I didn't know about it then).

I have done that subsequently (2 times) but it doesn't make any difference.

I'm worried that I've damaged the pack but I'd be interested to know if other users of this kind of pack actually manage to get 3300mAh out of them (rather than just being able to put 3300mAh in).

Hey Kevin, I got a new GP 3300 nimh pack last week. I cycled it a few times on my triton and I can get about 3400 in, but discharges about 3200! I don't think you damaged the pack, maybe that's just how they are?
