| Apples and Oranges ...The RF, RFD, and G2 software was specifically designed to work with the special dongle based Tx interface. The FMS sim was written to work with its special Tx interface. The two are not the same.
The RF version is somewhat complicated and has a microcontroller in it to partially decode the R/C data. The FMS electronics is just a simple signal buffer -- it does the decoding entirely within its Windows driver. One talks in French and the other in baby gibberish, so to speak.
One the other hand, the dummy/phony Futaba transmitter mimics a standard game joystick. Nearly all R/C simulators have the software drivers to work with such generic controllers. |
